Founded in 2022, Purpleye was established on a core belief: that the greatest value creation over the next decade will come from companies where artificial intelligence is central to the product, not an afterthought.
We are a team of operators, engineers, and investors. We lead or co-lead investment rounds from pre-seed to Series A, with significant reserves for follow-on investment as our portfolio companies scale.
Approach
We conduct in-depth reviews of models, data architectures, and infrastructure. Our team includes published researchers and former machine learning engineers.
We lead or co-lead rounds from pre-seed to Series A, often writing the first institutional cheque and supporting companies at board level from day one.
We allocate meaningful follow-on capital across multiple rounds and measure success over years, not funding cycles.
Strategy
We focus on the intelligence layer — companies where AI is the core product rather than a feature. Geography is secondary to technical quality and founder ambition.
